Fall Decorating

Fall is usually my favorite time of year, but this year I got so caught up in the beach wonderfulness that I just didn't want to decorate for fall this year. Fall seemed to come really fast here in the Pacific Northwest. So I decided not to do alot. Then I remembered that I signed up to decorate the Church Alter for October, so.... out came all the fall stuff, which is good because I need to get it all out anyway. I have done the same decor for the alter for the last 5 years, so I wanted to do something different. Here are somethings I did around my house.

My attempt at a mercury glass pumpkin, it doesn't look like glass, but it looks old and I like that. I might paint it white next week. I like it on the pillar, seems very Edgar Allen Poe? Especially if it was white Mmmmm.

This one I rubbed a copper paint on, its hard to tell in the picture but it gives it a slightly different tint than the other so they have some dimension. I'm thinking to use these on the Church Alter this week. I don't really have a place for them in the house yet. I might just move the apples and leave them on the buffet.

My good old standby branches and leaves. I still feel caught off guard this fall, just not feeling it. Anyone else having this trouble??
